“Emerging Issues in Problem Gambling”
Gambling addiction affects thousands of people across Illinois and often includes a comorbidity of conditions that require specialized treatments. This workshop will review current trends among state problem gambling helplines. Participants will learn about outreach tools to connect with those populations suffering from gambling disorder as well as special populations including adolescents, Veterans, the LGBTQ community, and seniors.
Ashley Trantham, MS serves as the Account Executive, Responsible Gambling for Morneau Shepell. She is responsible for managing Responsible Gambling programs and services throughout North America. Ms. Trantham managed a statewide problem gambling prevention program for several years in the state of North Carolina and has trained hundreds of educators and counselors on the Stacked Deck evidence-based problem gambling prevention curriculum.
